Hello,

I'm currently using - asr1000rp1-adventerprisek9.03.08.00.S.153-1.S.bin

I want to use - asr1000rp1-advipservicesk9.03.16.05.S.155-3.S5-ext.bin

I was concerned about the "ext" in the new image.

That is fine. 

What you should be concerned about is the feature set downgrade.  You're currently using Advance Enterprise feature set and the new IOS is only Advanced IP Services.
