I have a customer with a 2800 series router, 3560x switch, and various other switches. They have requested to VLAN the network from voice and data. The only problem is the phone system they have talks over two different PPP to a remote sites. How can I put the phone system on a VLAN and make that communicate over the serial link? I've heard of something called routing on a stick would it be used in this case? Or can the 3560x do something with it? I know the 3560 can do vlan routing but not sure how that works through the router.
Thanks in advance for any response.

The VLANs don't have to traverse the serial link, do they?
Thanks.

Can you provide a visio or something, with subnets and connections desribinghow you want it to work.
If your serial link just connects you to the internet a default route mihgt be enough, if it connects you to a company HQ then dynamic routing would probably be more appropriate. Give us more detailed info and we will give you more detailed advise.
Thanks,
