Hi could any one shed light on CISCO 3750 vlan translation capacbilities and also if there is any restriction in terms on no of vlan translation that could be performed on this box.

The 3750 Metro series switch does not support Layer 3 trunks. You cannot configure subinterfaces or use the encapsulation keyword on Layer 3 interfaces for this switch.
