VSS standby switch

Hello,

I have one 6509-E switch that is working in VSS mode but without a standby chassis (due to space issues....), now I am going to join the second Chassis to VSS primary chassis (currently online).

Even if I have set the priority of standby switch lower than the primary (currently online), would the primary chassis reboots when I join (connecting the VSL links) to the second switch ??
