Hi,
I have a 2650XM router with a VWIC-2MFT-T1 which is already configured with a PRI.
Here is the config:
controller T1 0/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs
pri-group timeslots 1-24
interface serial0/0:23
no ip address
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-ni
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn supp-service name calling
no cdp enable
I am trying to configure the second port for a data T1 (p2p) but for some reason I can't make it work. When I enter the channel-group command I got the following message:
the mtf-vwic module is already connected to aim slot
cannot create channel groups using onboard scc
please reconfigure channel-group command with aim #aim-slot keyword
% Insufficient resources to create channel group
Can someone let me know what I am missing?
Thanks.

Do you have an AIM-voice30 in the router ?
Do you have an option for "aim-slot" keyword as the message suggests ?

Hi,
Yes, I do have a aim-voice-30 in the router and I just found out that the problem is related to that.
When you have a VWIC-2MFT-T1 or a similar card installed in your router along with a aim-voice-30 you can't configure the controller to handle voice and data at the same time. the card needs to be configured only for voice or data since only one channel-group can be created by controller.
If there is a need to handle voice and data a aim-atm-voice-30 card will be needed.
Thanks

Yes, but check out that with aim-atm-voice-30 you might be able to do ATM only. So the easier thing might be to add a separate VWIC card for data.
