hi! what's the different between the WIC and Fastethnert port in the 28xx router? Can i use the fastethernet or wic port for lease line p2p connection? What's the max bandwidth for the WIC card?

Thanks.

WIC and HWIC cards come in many different types and you've to specify what are you talking about. WIC is not a part number in itself.

If you ISP terminates the connection on ethernet, you can use router builtin ports.

Otherwise you have to use an appropriate interface depending on the circuit type.

Ae we talking HWIC, VWIC or the basic WIC?  Which ever you are referring to the WIC (WAN Interface Card) purpose is for WAN connections while your standard fastethernet is for your LAN.  There are several module options for your WIC slot.  The module you install will dictate your bandwidth constraint.  I would suggest  looking at the below document.

In the past I have used a WIC 1T module to connect my T1 p2p connections.
