wan port

Hi all ,

i have one 871 router there wan port is not working ,i have done all basic troubleshot ,reset it , cable change but the port is not getting connected,can port becomes faulty or any other?

what kind of WAN should it be:

ADSL or LAN ?

hi

right now i m outside the office ,so we can not give sh int ,

there are 4 LAN and 1 wan ADSL port , the wan port is not connected.when we connect by console wan interface shows Ethernet is up but line protocol is down
