Your five second values, show most CPU is interrupt CPU, which usually is due to packet forwarding.  What's the router model and the total transit traffic volume?

Also, your process CPU is a tad high for the 5 second measurement.  Is the spread normally about 12%?  What do you see if you sort the CPU utilization list?

Do you have ACL restrictions on SNMP to allow only your servers?

Do you have CoPP enabled?

Ok, assuming it's not, what you're aggregate traffic volume (as about 50 Mbps could max out a 3725).

Joe

Thank you for the response.

We thought it might be the router having issues. it is a 3725 and had not been rebooted in 5 .5 years.

We replaced the router with a newer 3825. The same issue is occurring. Something with

SNMP is spiking the processor to 80-100%

Any ideas on what could be causing that. This is a new development within the last couple days.

Do you have ACL restrictions on SNMP to allow only your servers?

Do you have CoPP enabled?
