All,
I wanted to load the factory defaults for my 881W so I could get a clean start. Following this Cisco article:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5187/products_tech_note09186a00802017a1.shtml
I used the following commands while telnetted in via an ethernet cable to one of the ethernet ports:
router#configure terminal
router(config)#config-register 0x2102
router(config)#end
router#reload System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: n Proceed with reload? [confirm]
Once I hit enter to proceed with the reload, the router power cycled. From that point forward, I never got a link light or connection via my ethernet cable to the router on any of the ethernet ports (0,1,2,3). I can get a link light on WAN FE4, but no DHCP ip address to telnet in.
I do not have a Cisco USB console cable, which is why I've been trying this via my ethernet cable. Hopefully, I didnt screw up the router.
Any thoughts on what I can do in order to get back into the 881W?
Thanks very much,
James
