I know NIM means network interface module in the name "NIM-ES2-4". But what does "ES" stands for? Does it stand for "Ethernet Switch"? Thanks.

- Original naming !, but now a more difficult one -> why was that suffix needed ? Is it related to the nim-word ? What is nim ? Are there other types of nim-switches ?
