What is relation between CRS and GSR?

Hi What is relation between CRS and GSR? Anyone can explain it briefly? Thank you so much.

Hello,

both CRS (Carrier Routing System) and GSR (Gigabit Switch Routers) are large, high end platforms used mainly by ISPs and large enterprises. GSR (12000) is as far as I recall capable of 10G, while the CSR goes beyond 100G.

In our MPLS environment, ASR9K is used as CE, which is connected to client router.

The below is part of output of “show version” on the PE. The PE router should be CRS based on the below. Do you think what kind of CRS the router is? CRS12000, or other name?
