WIC-1ENET in new ISR routers not working/

Do you know if the WIC-1ENET cards work in the 2811 ISR? I just moved one I had from a 1720 to a 2811, and it isn't being recognized. I just read a PDF off of Cisco.com that indicates that these cards will not work in the 1841 (while also stating the 1800 family replaces the 1700 and uses the same cards, of course). I thought it would still work in the 2811 since every slot is HWIC/WIC/VIC/VWIC compatible, but I'm having doubts now.

Hi Jason

I'm not sure but if you take a look at 2800 series data sheet, in Modular Support Table WIC-1ENET does not appear:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5854/products_data_sheet0900aecd8016fa68.html

So I think it's not supported in 2800 series.

It is clearly stated in all WIC-1ENET documents that this module works in 1700 series routers ONLY.

Not all WIC and NM Modules that run in 1600/1700/2600/3600 Routers will run in the new ISR's. Refer to the 1800/2800 documentation (dataheet) to find out which modules are compatible with your router. Also have a look at the version (V2/V3) of these WIC and NM's.
