Why not just remove the HSRP config?

Thanks vmiller for responding!

My current setup does not include the switch that is in the diagram and currently if I lose (hardware failure) the primary 2911 router,  Hsrp will fail over to the secondary 2911 and also the 2nd Wan link, a good basic backup solution. I have two separate paths and that works fine but I dont want to fail over to Link 2 just because the primary 2911 is gone, I want to add a switch to the mix and if that primary 2911 fails I want it to then use the secondary 2911 to get to London but still using Link 1 to get back to the USA.

Is that scenario possible with just adding a switch between the comm element and the primary 2911 router?

Thanks again,

Desmond

Hi Desmond

I don't think you need switch in betweeen  primary WAN router, better to  remove HSRP and do static routing on WAN routers to route traffic.
