Will dot1x authentication support PEAP in Cisco 2950 Switches

I have a test setup as follows:

Windows 2003 IAS Server as Radius Server

Cisco 2950 Switch as Radius Client

Windows 7 as Supplicant.

I need to configure 802.1x authentication for wired.

Windows 7 supports only PEAP or Secure MD5, IAS supports PEAP too. But 2950 is probabily sending MD5 EAP packets, hence authentication fails (discarded).

Is there any option to enable PEAP authentication method in Cisco 2950 switch?

From my understanding if the switch is merely forwarding the EAP message from a client to an authentication server then it's not an issue with the switch. The switch simply uses network EAP to send the request to the server. The switch doesn't care whether you are using LEAP/PEAP/FAST-EAP etc..

Only if the switch itself was the supplicant would it be an issue what the switch supported.
