Purchased a used Cisco 2821 Router and would like to remove all unnecessary files and folders.

My concern is a hacked Rommon or IOS, is there a way to determine this?

Is there a list of directories, files and folders of all of the necessary system folders so I can know what i can delete?

Thanks

Hi,

Will my IOS advance enterprise restore all necessary files for http and all VoIP functions?

No. For SDM/CCP GUI you need to download some files as well as for CUCME( VoIP) functionality but you also need the good IOS version for VoIP.

Regards.

Hi,

Format the nvram and flash on your router and it would be restored to factory defaults.

Don’t forget to copy an IOS back onto the flash:)

So I do not need to worry about accidentally deleting Rommon files? Will my IOS advance enterprise restore all necessary files for http and all VoIP functions?

This doesn't make sense.  Hacked ROMmon or IOS?  I'd like to see this!

Anyway, format the IOS.  Period.  (Don't forget to erase your config.)

I don't care about copying the IOS back to the CF because it's a CF.
