Hi Everybody,
I wonder if anybody experience any issues utilizing below IOS in WS-6509-E or VSS switches?
Image Files : " s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.151-2.SY4a.bin"
We have recently start experiencing random reboots and loosing adjacency issues and apparently this is a know issue for "s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.151-2.SY4a.bin" image.
It would be appreciated if anyone could share his experiences in this regard if any...along with a possible solution to upgrade to higher version and its details please.
Best Regards

Hi,
For this type of issue, I recommend you open a TAC case with Cisco and have them take a look at your switch and recommend a version that does not have this bug. Make sure to provide them all the log files and if there is any crash file written on the flash. Also, higher version does not always mean better. Sometimes downgrading is more helpful than upgrading, but it all depends on your environment and the feature sets you use.

I would agree with Reza.
Could you please let me know if there are any crash info file has been generated if yes kindly grab the same and attach to the thread along with show version and show module output from the switch.

Hi Reza,
Thank you, Please note that it is impossble to downgrade the IOS so we have to look for alternative IOS that is solid and stable but before that i would like to validate if the issue is a bug in its current IOS first then start looking for other optioins.
At this point, I dont have Cisco Support but i will see if i can get the crash report etc...
Thank you.
