Posting
Normally, a 3750 does not require any special configuration to use its stacking cables. As you add stack members, stack members supply what appears to be just another set of ports that can be configured (much like when you add a line card to a chassis switch).
CPU and RAM are not aided by the addition of a 3750G stack member. If fact, with StackWise, every stack member floods all its traffic to the stack cables. I.e. adding stack members can actually create a performance issue that you might not see keeping the switches non-stacked. However, the other advantages of stacking 3750s, and the bandwidth of the stack cables usually offsets the issue of stack units, except perhaps in very busy or very large stacks.
BTW, StackWisePlus, used on the 3750-E and 3750X, has twice the stack bandwidth and uses the stack cables much "smarter" than StackWise on the 3750 or 3750G.
