Hello,
Can you tell me if it is possible to reduce the switchover time of an Xconnect in backup peer mode ?
On a router I use xconnect (l2tpv3) to a primary router and backup peer to the secondary router :
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1
no ip address
negotiation auto
xconnect 10.10.10.1 11 encapsulation l2tpv3 pw-class PW-CLASS
backup peer 10.10.10.9 10 pw-class PW-CLASS
If I simulate a failure to the primary router, the xconnect switches to the secondary in a long time, about 2 minutes...
The delay 0 0 command does not change anything in the backup peer part...
If I use the switchover command the switch between primary and backup or vice versa works instantly !
xconnect backup force-switchover peer 10.10.10.1 11
xconnect backup force-switchover peer 10.10.10.9 10
An idea ?
Thanks

No, I had already tried to use backup delay 0 never and that doesn't change anything...
RTR-1(config-if-xconn)#backup delay ?
<0-180> Enable delay
RTR-1(config-if-xconn)#backup delay 0 ?
<0-180> Disable delay
never Disallow disable
RTR-1(config-if-xconn)#backup delay 0 never

Hi Friend
I think you need second opinion in your VPWS issue
for this case you can use BFD to make Peer fast detect down of remote peer
