Cisco SD-WAN: Localized Policy

RS19

I have a Cisco cEdge device which is already configured with Localized Policy & attached 2 route policy.

The device is already & running.

I created 1 new additional route policy & I want to attached to the existing device.

I am not able to attach the policy, the save option is grayed out.

What is the right option to update/add new local route policy to the exiting router ?

Any help

Will it work If I change it to CLI mode & then make the required update & revert back to vManage Mode.

Will it work ?

Hi,

in order to attach local control/data policy elemetnt (such as OSPF route policy /BGP route policy /QoS config/ ACl), you first need to attach policy itself. This can be done in device template after creating policy.

It will be just reference point. You still need to attach/add respective policy element in feature templates.

Example, you need to change smth in OSPF on service side. You create OSPF route policy, but you cant apply-attach it directly to OSPF template. After pushing config, you will get error. You need to have local policy where OSPF route policy is imported and this local policy should be in device template of that router. Only after that, you can use that OSPF route policy in OSPF template.
