Hi everybody,
Open Day Light Controller discovers Underlay Network's topology using BGP-LS. For Viptela based SD WAN , vSmart and edge routers run OPM to exchanges routes ( Service routes, TLOC etc). Is it correct to say VSmart does know Underlay network's topology the way we see it on Open Day light Controller?

Hi,
vSmart doest know underlay network. You need simple IP reachibility between vEDGEs and vSmart. It acts like RR in BGP. Simple gets routes and advertises to others ,after applying centralized control policy (if any). Although, it has other roles such as distributing keys, pushing centralized data policy, it does not know underlay network details.
