Hi,

Is there a REST API equivalent to get output of 'show app dpi flows detail'?

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

This API endpoint might have what you're looking for:

https://vmanage-url/dataservice/device/dpi/flows?deviceId=1.2.3.4

Details can be found on apidocs in vManage:

https://vmanage-url/apidocs/

You can find the section under "Real-Time Monitoring - DPI" -> "Get /device/dpi/flows"

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I'm looking to get tunnel information associated with the application which I believe is returned with the 'detail' option. Does the API endpoint you mention allow for a way to specify getting that detail? In my experiment it does not return the tunnel associated with the application

I can only find the details you mentioned in the bulk API -> https://sdwan-docs.cisco.com/Product_Documentation/Command_Reference/Command_Reference/vManage_REST_APIs/Bulk_APIs/Overview_of_Bulk_API_Operations#Statistics_Bulk_API_Operations

The downside is the filter one can make is from timestamps, but not other data fields. The upside is that it may contain more fields you may be looking for.

Thanks. Yep I saw that. Wanted to avoid getting app information and metrics aggregated at flow level as the data volume may be overwhelming. I'm primarily looking to get application information and metrics like throughput etc. aggregated at tunnel level (preferably real-time) so the output is limited
