Hi All,
One of our customers has brought up a specific requirement for the SDWAN design at the head quarter office. They have two internet links and two routers at the sites. Internet links are terminated to NTUs. They have asked for the below design:
Apart from TLOC-EXT between two routers that extend the Internet link between routers, they want to have two ports at each NTU which terminates both Internet links and connect each NTU to both routers. The reason for this request is that they want to be able to use the BW of both Internet links when one of the routers fails. I haven't seen this type of design in Cisco SDWAN documents. Is it practical?

This design, where both NTUs connect to both SD-WAN routers to maximize bandwidth usage and ensure failover, is feasible but not a common practice. It can be implemented using dual WAN interfaces on each router, combined with TLOC extensions for failover, load balancing, and policy-based routing to manage traffic across both Internet links. While it adds complexity to the configuration, it can achieve the desired outcome of utilizing both Internet links when one router fails. Proper routing and high availability policies will be critical for making this design work efficiently.

Hi,
if router have connections to both internet service, why do you use TLOC extention?
TLOC extention is used when you terminate transport_A on the only device_A and transport_B on the only device_B. Here, as I get you have two routers both having connection to both transports.

No need TLOC extension
You need to make one tloc prefer than other this I think ypu can done by preference.
