what would happen if vsmart goes down as vsmart has OMP peering with Vedges so

would Vedge lose its connectivity due to this with other Vedges?

Hi Knaik99 -

No. vEdge(s) won't loose connectivity with the other vEdge(s).
Asuuming a vEdge looses connectivity to all the vSmart(s), OMP GR (graceful restart) will kick in.
(to maintain data-plane connectivity)
Please check: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/configuration/config-18-3.pdf#page=115

Hope it helps.

Is there any impact in production environment on changing the graceful restart timers?

No. We have production customers who have tweaked the OMP GR timers from default values to meet their requirements.
Any tweaking comes with the caveat that you know the network on how it behaves and adjust the values accordingly.

Otherwise, leave them at default. (from last posting)
