LTE Profile for Vodafone UK (using Profile 0 magic)

All:

 For post-paid Vodafone UK, has anyone successfully made the connection work without having to manually specific a non-0 profile?

I wasn't expecting this problem to creep up in the UK; maybe in some exotic carrier elsewhere.

All the US and AU carriers, it just auto-works with "profile 0" (I think it uses Download-over-the-air-provisioning ? OTA / OTAP ? normally w/ Profile 0)

Basically, no. You have to use a non-zero profile, I think it's even somewhere in the documentation. We could not make it work in any other way in EU, regardless where the SIM card is coming from.
