I have a vEdge-1000 that I need to test the port ge0/2 on. My plan is to just duplicate that interface on say ge0/6. This is a WAN ckt and has a sub-interface of .173. Will the vEdge allow me to add the test interface(s) ge0/6 & ge0/6.173 with the ge0/2 interfaces already on the box, with the .173 having an IP. I'm hoping I can just shut the ge0/2 interfaces and then move on with the ge0/6. Not sure how forgiving the config is doing this kinda work. Will I have to delete the ge0/2 to make this work??
