Viptela AAR behavior

If a given SLA is not met by any available TLOC, does the vEdge try to find the closest match?  i.e. if the the sla is 40ms would the vEdge find the TLOC with the lowest latency if none of the TLOCs were under 40ms?  or is it completely random if no TLOCs meet the SLA?

Re: Viptela AAR behavior

If SLA is not matched for any Transport for the data tunnel and Strict matching is not configured, then device falls back to ECMP. You can configure Backup SLA Preferred Color, which will be used if no SLA is matched and Backup SLA is available.

Here is the overall selection process

1. Routing Decision is made, if there are multiple next hops available, then SLA Class can be in effect

2. SLA Class uses the Transport that matches SLA. If multiple Transports match SLA Class then multiple Transports are used.

3. If no Transport matches SLA and no Strict match is used, then fall back on ECMP.

4. If no Transport matches SLA and Backup color is configured, use backup color if available. (Not Strict matching0

5. If Backup color is not available and no Strict match is used, then fall back on ECMP.
