Starting a Cyber Security Career

I have been a IT Director for 20 years and sadly realized my career has been composed of mostly doing reports and attending meetings throughout my career. 

Believing it is never too late to learn new things; What steps would you suggest, for a person such as I, to start learning and getting certification in Cyber Security?
