After the CiscoSecure ACS Solution engine is upgraded to version 3.3 through the ACS upgrade package, the database backup fails with the "backup failed" error message


Core issue

This issue occurs due to the presence of Cisco bug ID CSCsb86235.

The manual or scheduled backup can fail on the CiscoSecure ACS Solution Engine after an ACS upgrade through the upgrade package, even when FTP settings are reconfigured. This symptom is only observed on the CiscoSecure ACS Solution Engine when it is upgraded to version 3.3.3.


The workaround for this bug is to replicate the present configuration on the CiscoSecure ACS to another CiscoSecure ACS Solution Engine or ACS for Microsoft Windows that runs the same version. Then, re-image the CiscoSecure ACS Solution Engine that is affected by the bug and restore the configuration backup.
