Problem

The overview page in the IronPort Email Security Appliance shows a message that reporting is disabled. How can we enable reporting?

Resolution

Follow the steps below to enable reporting on the IronPort Email Security Appliance:

1)Use the diagnostic command to check RAID disks, view and clear cache information, and to test connectivity to other mail servers.

esa> diagnostic

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- RAID - Disk Verify Utility.

- DISK_USAGE - Check Disk Usage.

- NETWORK - Network Utilities.

- REPORTING - Reporting Utilities.

- TRACKING - Tracking Utilities.

- RELOAD - Reset configuration to the initial manufacturer values.

2)Choose reporting as shown below which shows the current reporting status:

[]> REPORTING

The reporting system is currently disabled.

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- DELETEDB - Reinitialize the reporting database.

- ENABLE - Enable the reporting system.

3)Now enter ENABLE to enable reporting.

[]> ENABLE

Reporting enabled.

The reporting system is currently enabled.

4)Choose the operation you want to perform:

Now click Enter key twice. This enables the reporting on Cisco Email Security Appliance.

Now, the Overview page, you could see that the reporting is enabled or "No data available" if appliance is idle.
