Resolution
In order to reset administrator password on Cisco Secure ACS, the administrator account needs to be reset.
Complete these steps to accomplish this task:
Note: This is only applicable on ACS for Microsoft Windows that runs on software version 3.3.3 or earlier. On ACS 4.0 or later, reinstallation is the only way.
- Access the registry on your Windows server.
- Delete admin account at this location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco\CiscoAAA##\CSAdmin\Administrators
- Login to ACS and do not enter an administrator username or password.
- Once logged in, set up a new administrator login and password.
