SSH disconnects when changes are applied to the crypto map

Resolution

To modify the crypto map, perform this procedure:

1. Remove the crypto map from the interface.
2. Remove the Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP) policy from the interface.
3. Modify the crypto map peer and Access Control List (ACL).
4. Modify the ISAKMP pre-shared key.
5. Reapply the ISAKMP policy to the interface.
6. Reapply the crypto map to the interface.

Note: This procedure does not cause the admin to lose Secure Shell (SSH) connectivity to the PIX.
