The Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector is supported in virtual environments and are modeled after two physical appliances.  Those appliances are based on the SNS-3515 and SNS-3595.  The scaling for the Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector is based on the size of the virtual machine. An SNS-3515 virtual machine can support up to 100,000 sessions. An SNS-3595 virutal machine can support up to 300,000 sessions. The specifications for the SNS-3515 and SNS-3595 are as follows:

I sent this over to my client today and was asked if you can distribute the cores/processor of multiple physical processors.  For example for the 3515, have 8 cores, but split over two physical processors.  Will that work?

TIA,

Dan

Dan,

Having 8 cores split over two physical processors shouldn't be a problem.  Just ensure the processor speed is similar to the specs above.

Hello we are starting a project and I was ask to check for the VM requirement.
What would be considered a session?

All the action the a certain PC/user is doing on a PC.

Or each actions/events is considerate has has an action, or TCP connection.

Thank you.
Will look in the documentation.
