I have a question relative to Control Plane Protection on a cisco router that maybe someone can help.
If I want to understand and then create control plane Protection for filtering management traffic and applied, it to host sub-interface
For example, lets say I use a simple access-list like the following
Permit tcp any any eq 22
And then applied to a class map and using a policy map I can use it under control-plane host sub-interface.
The question is that if this sub-interface handles management traffic as well as some routing protocol traffic like EIGRP ,according to the documentations, will I create a problem to the routing protocols or any other traffic through the use of this access list ?
