Hello,

The error on the vCenter GUI is a generic one. You could look at the vpxa logs of the ESX host to see a better description of the error (hopefully). A blind step that works in a majority of these cases is a host reboot. It's not a N1k error - more on the VMware side.

Thanks,

Shankar

Hey guys,

I faced the same problem some time ago.

What I did and worked after a long troubleshooting process, was update the Vcenter and ESXi to the same version and install the Update Manager.

After all this, it finally worked for me.

HI Spankar,

a reboot did not help. The new host has the same ESXi version as the other 16 Hosts, which are already running with N1kv.

We have opeend a Case at VMware....

Sure, please update the thread with the answer once you've found it. And if possible, attach a 'vm-support' to this thread.

Thanks,

Shankar
