license for nexus 5k on DCNM??

hi everyone,

if I have two licenses on two N7K for DCNM, you must have licenses for 5548 in the DCNM??

Hi,

You only need the licenses for 7K.  There is no such a thing for 5K devices.

DCNM comes in two options:

• DCNM LAN is the base version of DCNM available at no cost. DCNM LAN can be used to manage a mixed Cisco Nexus network made of Cisco Nexus 7000, Cisco Nexus 5000 and Cisco Nexus 2000.

• DCNM LAN Enterprise is a licensed version of DCNM adding more functionality to the base version. DCNM LAN Enterprise is an option when ordering a Nexus 7000; one license is required per Nexus 7000 chassis. There is no such option available yet when ordering a Cisco Nexus 5000 or Cisco Nexus 2000 platform. The part numbers listed in Table 4 are available.

I was reviewing and dcnm sincronisacion as a self every time you make a discovery on the network nexus, this auto-synchronization makes the memory consumption is multiplied very high and I have a problem with my memory capacity on the server, only I have 4 G of RAM

hi all,

Yes you need licenses for NExus 5K on DCNM.

But this license is "free". You have to purchase this free license and after activate it through http://www.cisco.com/go/license or though your TAC access.

This license is a package for 100 switches. You have to integrate this license file into your DCNM server like a N7K license.
