Hello,

We have some trouble for getting up a new Nexus 2232 TM with our existing N5K (5010) with following image: n5000-uk9.5.0.2.N1.1.bin

here's my N5K current config regarding the connection between N5K & N2K:

version 5.0(2)N1(1)

feature telnet

no feature ssh

cfs eth distribute

feature interface-vlan

feature lacp

feature vpc

feature lldp

feature fex

...

fex 103

  pinning max-links 1

  description "2KSRV02"

...

interface port-channel103

  description FEX Server 2

  switchport mode fex-fabric

  fex associate 103

...

interface Ethernet1/9

  description FEX Server 2 PO103

  fex associate 103

  switchport mode fex-fabric

  channel-group 103

interface Ethernet1/10

  description FEX Server 2 PO103

  fex associate 103

  switchport mode fex-fabric

  channel-group 103

When we connect the new 2232TM nexus we got this message:

Nexus5010_1# sh fex 103 det

FEX: 103 Description: 2KSRV02   state: Image Download

FEX version: 5.0(3)N2(1) [Switch version: 5.0(2)N1(1)]

....

This goes on repeatedly.

I think there's maybe an issue with existing image on N5K that's maybe too old to recognize the Nexus 2232 TM which has been manufactured later on...

Can you confirm this? I've looked for some release notes about the 2232TM without any success

Thank you for any help you can provide

Eric
