Hi Community,
Does someone knows if the Nexus 2348TQ FEX supports 100 megabit speeds?
In the datasheet there is no mention of it, however on the following link it looks like it is possible?

Hi,
The 2348TQ support 1Gig, 10Gig and 40G for uplink. It does not support 100Mb.

Hi Reza, thx for the answer.
This would mean that we should choose the 2248TP-E for these connections.
How do we connect this to the 2348TQ with only QSFP's.
I suppose we can use QSFP-4SFP10G-CU1M (Cisco 40GBASE-CR4 QSFP+ to 4 10GBASE-CU SFP+ passive direct-attach copper transceiver assembly, 1m) or FET-10G 10G (Line Extender for FEX with breakout cable)?
Do we need to change the breakout mode for this? (interface breakout slot X port X-X map 10g-4x)
If yes, can this be done per port, or is it directly for the entire module?

That is correct. The 2248 is 100/1000

Are you trying to connect 2248 to 2348TQ?
If yes you need a breakout cable with one side being 40G with MPO connector and the other side 4 10Gig LC.

Ok clear for me.
Twho more questions :-)

Hi,
No the breakout command is not for the entire module. I think, it is for every 4 ports in the module, but not 100% sure.

In Nexus 5648, interface breakout works on a set of four ports at a time.
e1/1 = e1/1/1, e1/1/2, e1/1/3, e1/1/4
e1/2 = e1/2/1, e1/2/2, e1/2/3, e1/2/4
e1/3 = e1/3/1, e1/3/2, e1/3/3, e1/3/4
e1/4 = e1/4/1, e1/4/2, e1/4/3, e1/4/4

It's probably too late for you now but it is worth noting that the 2348TQ does now support 100M on host ports. I think this came in NXOS release 7.1(1)N1(1) and is reflected in the data sheet.
