nexus 3172PQ-XL vs nexus 93180YC-FX for 10G SFP+ server deployment and QSFP+ uplink to core

Hello,

we have a UCS mini implementation with a pair of FI6324s and we would like to acquire a pair of Nexus switches which will be strictly used for the interconnection between the FIs and 3 Netapp AFF C190 Storage Arrays. The blades (four actually) are B200M5 and we do not intend to move on to network connections/switch ports/VICs etc higher than 10Gbps as far as the downlinks of the Nexus is concerned as well as not more than 10 or 40Gbps as far as uplinks of the Nexus are concerned.

Do you find any important advantage to buy 93180YC-FX against 3172PQ-XL?

Block protocol is strictly iSCSI.

TIA!

Hi @istr

I would suggest you go for 93180YC-FX3

It's the new generation, much better in many ways (ASIC, TCAM size, features, telemetry), plus is cheaper.

Stay safe,

Sergiu
