We have two data centers on our campus, each at a East and West location. We have two nexus 7010 switches in each of the data centers as our primary switch and vPC'd together as a virtual switch fabric pair. We would like to dual home a device/server located in one of the data centers, but the device is capable of using short reach fiber optics only and is out of distance for one of the data centers. We have a FEX 2232PP in the same data center with device/server in it. My question is, can I put the device/server in the same portchannel group when one connection is directly on one of the Nexus 7010 switches and the other connections goes to the FEX 2232PP that is connected to the other Nexus 7010 switch? The Nexus switches are running 5.2(9) software, but will be upgraded to 6.x soon. I've attached a PDF diagram to better illustrate how I would like to connect this device.
Thanks,
Martin

We are purchasing a second 2232P FEX, one for each 7010 Chassis and locating both FEX/s in one of the data centers were our problem is. We will dual home device connections to each one of the 2232P FEX's.
Thanks Peter for your feedback!!

Hi
It's using the solution is dual-home. that is used IOS version 7.2. The version is used Dual-home and FEX-AA. That is able to each 7010 connect one nexus 2k switch.
