We are currently in the process of replacing some datacentre switches from old 6509's to Nexus 9508's. Basically we are replacing a like for like configuration however we were running RSPAN between the 6509's that are connected together via layer2 trunks to allow us to capture voice traffic and deliver it to 4 x Redbox recorders.
I need to be able to replicate this via the Nexus 9K's though unfortunately for me they do not support RSPAN. I have attached a basic diagram of how the voice vlan is setup.
current configuration of the monitor session on all the 6509's is: -
monitor session 1 source vlan 900
monitor session 1 destination remote vlan 950
monitor session 2 source remote vlan 950
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi3/6
Because we have different voice services and entry points on each 6509 we need to SPAN all voice traffic(Vlan 900) to all recorders to make sure we capture both sides of all conversations.
I am thinking that I will need to use ERSPAN to replicate this however if any one is aware of any method that will flood all voice to all interfaces in Vlan 900 we might be able to duplicate the data across all of the switches and just use a local SPAN session on each Nexus?
