Having a moment of panic and seeking out options.
Bought a pair of UCS 6536 Fabric Interconnects. Mentioned up front we'd be connecting (2) FC SANs. FIs arrive. Go to order cabling & transceivers and receive a quote for $6,500+ per FC transceiver (DS-SFP-4X32G-SW), 4x of them being $ 26k+. Even if we settled on 2x that'd still be $13k for a pair, absolutely insane pricing for a pair of optics.
Does anyone else know of any alternatives we could take for FC connectivity to these new FIs or have I more or less been designed in to a corner?
