VPC Between the VDC's which are in the same physical chassis

Hi Guys,

Please i would like to have your input whether is it possible to have a VPC between the VDC's which are running on two physical boxes.

I know that we can configure 8 VDC's per box and assuming two boxes each divided into 2 VDC's.

The requirement is to combine 1 VDC from each switch into a VPC domain.

Let say top VDC's into 1 VPC domain and the below in other.

So my question is how many peer-links and peer-keepalive links will be required in this scenario.

Hi;

Yes, you can do it there is no issue.

With reference to Peer-links & peer keepalive-links, each VDC should have there own separate links. Take a example we have 4 VDC on 2 chassis and want to create vPC domain on all 4 VDC then you should have following links:

Peer-links: 2 links (per VDC) * 4 (VDC) = total 8 links.

peer-keepalive: We have 2 option - 1st we required 1 link per vPC domain means total 4 links. 2nd option if we are using management link for peer-keepalive  then you can use same link for all 4 VDC.
