1. Cisco & Telecom New Zealand Test Cisco EPC with LTE-A Category 6

Excerpt - "So recently Telecom New Zealand performed a series of networking tests with Cisco leveraging LTE-A or LTE-Advanced. As a key LTE-A technology, carrier aggregation allows for full utilization of operators’ spectrum resources, empowering them to provide faster mobile broadband experiences including video conferencing, high-definition content transmission, high-speed video downloads, social networking and more."

2. NTT Docomo Virtualized the Mobile Packet Core with Cisco


Excerpt - "NTT Docomo has been testing the Cisco Evolved Services Platform (ESP). The Cisco ESP is a comprehensive virtualization and orchestration software platform that creates, automates and provisions services in real time, across compute, storage and network functions, to deliver desired business outcomes for applications running across multiple domains and facilitates the shift to new business models. It allows NTT Docomo to deliver prepackaged services from a flexible pool of resources that can be reused and personalized for each customer, automatically and on demand."

3. Cisco Joins China Mobile at Mobile Asia Expo (MAE)

4. Telecom Italia Creates SDN Network Testbed with Five Universities

Excerpt - "Telecom Italia can automate configuration changes based on real-time network conditions. Applications tell a network controller when they need network resources. Then the controller tells the network infrastructure equipment. This reduces the need for human intervention. It’s a step towards automation and a step towards application-centric infrastructure."

5. Fibrenoire's Jean-François Lévesque Shares Tips with Cisco on How to Thrive in the Fast-Paced Service Provider World

Excerpt - "Since its founding in 2007, Fibrenoire, based in Montreal, Quebec, has grown from a startup to one of Canada’s largest metro-fiber-to-the-business service providers. As further testament to their success Fibernoire was the first Canadian service provider to earn MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 Services certification leveraging Cisco’s Carrier Ethernet Systems."
