The Small Cell Forum have published SCF Release One providing an ‘all you need to know’ guide to residential small cell deployment as well as significant outputs on other small cell use case scenarios. Releases One contains a concise summary of requirements as well as detailed documents on key areas such as market drivers, business case, key technology information including standards, operator lessons and regulatory information.
Over the next 12 months, the Small Cell Forum will publish further Releases which will contain significant updates on enterprise small cells and metrocells. Crucially, these will include lessons from deployments currently taking place as well as evolving approaches and standards. Subsequent Releases will contain major updates to rural and multi-technology small cells which intelligently integrate 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi.
