XR configuration conversion

Hi Everyone,

Would like to extend my thanks in advance for anyone offering assistance.

As the subject hints, anyone here know of a way to convert IOS configs to XR config? I seen and heard about SOX tool but i am unable to find it. I also tried Cisco Active Advisor but thats for IOS to XE.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey!

As far as I know the SOX (IOS Config to IOS-XR Config Conversion Tool) is only available through Cisco TAC.

You'd need to open a TAC Case and send the IOS config to the Cisco Engineer to use it.

Other than that nothing similar is known to me.

That is correct, it is an internal tool we can use to convert configuration. It does a pretty good job but some configs still need to be manually checked or there is no similar command that exists. When TAC does this it is as best-effort support, and we highly recommend checking configurations in a lab environment first.
