List of commands to be kept handy while opening TAC cases for XR platforms
For an engineer who is new to working on XR platforms, sometimes it can be quite confusing on what all commands we need to capture, before a TAC case is opened. For IOS we quickly collect a show tech output, but I have seen people getting confused on which show tech to collect in XR, as there are many. So here is a quick list of commands which you can keep handy along with other information based on logs.
This is specifically for paltform related issues.
Please capture these commands before you open a TAC case and get it attached. This would give the TAC engineer a quick understanding on what exactly is happening and will help in saving some time. This is applicable in most of the platform related issues. The command which I'm going to list is specific to CRS.
terminal length 0
show install active summ
admin show platform
admin show inventory
admin show diag
show asic-errors all detail location <>
show reboot history location <>
show reboot last crashinfo location <>
show reboot last syslog location <>
show reboot last trace location <>
show context loc all

show hw-module fpd location all
show process blocked loc all
show sysmgr trace
admin show led
admin show shelfmgr trace
admin show environment all
admin show controller fabric plane all
admin show controller fabric plane all stat
While working on the problem if you feel some other captures would also be helpful for TAC in analyzing, then please add those along with the commands mentioned above.
