Nice vid Greg.

Hey, I got a question for you. After service group changes have been made which file takes precedence (

servicegroupmap.dat.tmp or servicegroupmap.dat).

A little background.

We stopped sgManager.

Then we made our service group changes.

We then restarted sgManager for the changes to take affect.

We see both files in the /dvs/dvsFiles/SGM directory.

The .tmp file had the most recent time stamp so does the .tmp file take precedense and gets sent out to the settops for service group discovery?

When does the .tmp file go away and the .dat file gets updated with the contents of the .tmp file? The only way I was able to get the .tmp file to go away is to make a service group edit while sgManager was running.

I'm not sure if you covered that in your video? If you did then please accept my appologies as I did not have time to watch the whole video.

Thanks

Mo
