Dear Sir,
I need help for NAS 2 Bay NSS322 cisco Storage device which is working completely but one of it's hard drive failed.
Both hard drive were running in raid 1 (Mirroring) mode but now only one hard drive is accessible.
I have replaced second hard drive and plugged into the storage and it is automatically started rebuild the raid 1 but it is failed to rebuild the raid 1 now and showing me error in logs "[Mirror Disk Volume: Drive 2 1] Drive 2 failed." and status: "[Mirror Disk Volume: Drive 2 1] RAID device in degraded mode."
I need support for this if anyone can help in to fix this issue. Thank you.
Regards,
Gaurang
Hello,
My recommendation would be to create a complete backup of the device if you haven't done so yet.
Make sure to create a backup of the configuration also.
Factory reset the unit then create the RAID, that should fix the issue, restore the settings, u0grade the firmware to the latest 1.5.0 and finally restore the info.
This should take care of any configuration issues on the device.
If after doing this, you keep having problems then I will assume the new hard drive you got is having issues and should replace it.
I hope this helps.
