What is the most reliable way to update Firmware on my NSS 324?

Hi:

What is the most reliable way to update Firmware on my NSS 324? Currently I am running ver. 1.0. Using Windows Explorer I have tried to update firmware to ver 1.5 but systems hangs and nothing happens. I am wondering if someone can send me instructions on how to do it using Linux interface with monitor and keyboard directly plugged into my NSS.
