I have PPTP enabled on a RV042 router and am able to connect to the VPN from any other location. What I am unable to do is see any networked folders through the VPN connection on the server. So I am able to connect to the internet remotely but not the shared folders from what I understand. Does anyone know why I can't see the shared folders remotely? The folders are shared and work via LAN. One solution I tried was adding the server name to the host file but it didn't fix the problem. I appreciate any help given!
Please provide any solution in laments terms as I am very unfamiliar with most terminology in this area.
